A Unique Child Development Center Opens in
Audubon Park
Tippie
Toes, formerly located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has opened a
unique child development center in Audubon Park for children from
six weeks to five years of age. Also offered are after school and
holiday break programs for children from five to thirteen years old,
as well as summer day camp. Tippie Toes offer daycare and preschool
programs with educational and recreational curriculum created by a
staff member who is a teacher with a Master’s Degree in Elementary
Education.
Another unique
Tippie Toes offering is the Fit-N-Fun Bus. A school physical
therapist, certified by the USA Gymnastics Association and the New
Jersey Board of Education, visits Tippie Toes with a mobile
gymnastics program. The program is a 30-minute gymnastics class
teaching fundamental movement and tumbling skills. Fit-N-Fun Bus
physical therapists are also trained in basic first aid and CPR.
Licensed
and approved by the state of New Jersey, Tippie Toes also offers
Computertots® computer training. Computertots® provides weekly
30-minute classes on-site. State-of-the-art equipment, curriculum,
software and all materials for the classes are provided. Classes
operate all year and children from ages three and up may enroll.
Remember when you
were little? How excited would you have been to be able to
play within a “town” that was perfectly sized for you? Tippie Toe
Town is a child-size replica of an actual town including a post
office, town hall and grocery store. This “town” is located outside
at Tippie Toes and children can mail a letter at the post office or
shop with tiny shopping carts and “groceries”!
At Tippie Toes,
learning and growth is fostered through play. Reading, math, social
studies, music and fitness are all part of the day. There is plenty
to do inside and
out.
There are visits from the “Story Teller” who comes dressed as
characters in the books she reads (ie: The Cat in the Hat, etc.).
She sings and the children play tambourines to the music. Cherry
Hill Library visits often for reading time as well. The children
also learn through theme play. For example, if they are reading
about ladybugs, they might make ladybug puppets and food that looks
like ladybugs and they would learn words that begin with the letter
“L”. In addition, Tippie Toes Out and About Summer Day Camp provides
field trips two to three times per week, including Camden County
Park functions, rollerskating as well as museum trips. Summer and
after school programs are conducted by a teacher with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Education.
Diagnostic testing
for speech, hearing and behavioral issues is also available on-site
at Tippie Toes and provided by specially-trained pediatric
therapists.
An advanced
security system, requiring visitors to be “buzzed in” has also been
installed for the safety of every child enrolled at Tippie Toes.
Serving families
who work or live in South Jersey, Tippie Toes is located at 2 Road C
in Audubon, New Jersey, between Nicholson Road and Blackhorse Pike
and is open from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more
information, parents can call Rosetta Brown at 856-546-1666.
